OUR STORY

We spend years and years trying to learn English. We study at school, sign up for extracurricular lessons, hire a private teacher and even go to an English summer camp. At least we can say we have an intermediate level of English now, right?

But we still find ourselves wondering how you say this or that in English, and then we realise some things can never be learned from coursebooks. Let’s face it, you only run into some stuff in real life.

This is how we came up with the idea of building a course-blog instead of a coursebook. What’s the advantage? A course blog is as dynamic and alive as language is and it can deal with any topic. Besides, it’s online and can go with you anywhere!

We only have one rule here: we provide authentic materials taken from daily life situations (we like to call them ‘snapshots’). This is why our logo is a camera and our motto is “Learning English through snapshots of daily life“.

Well, actually there’s a second rule: you are the one who knows best what your learning needs are, so topic decisions are up to you. Let us know what you ‘d like to see at our courseblog. We’re all ears!

Does this sound like you? Then welcome on board. Join the English Cam community and let your life inspire you!
